I'm bummed that the next new episode won't be until next week. Thank God Lost starts up again this week! But why ABC chose not to rerun last season is beyond me. Not all of us bought it on DVD or wants to download it, ya' know.- Doh!

Actor Heath Ledger Is Found Dead
Brandy or Irish whiskey in a hot, decaf tea does the trick for me... On Heath Ledger: accident or suicide, this is a terrible loss. He was an obvious talent and certainly didn't come across as a train wreck like certain other celebs these days. I know he did a stint in rehab, but I'd be...- Doh!

Suzanne Pleshette Passes
I didn't know she was sick, so this was pretty shocking to hear. Her best performance still has to be in the series finale of Newhart, in which it was revealed that Bob was dreaming the whole time he lived in Vermont. Classic TV at its best!- Doh!

While I think it is worth seeing, it actually might work better on the small screen. Given the fact that the POV is from a consumer camcorder, that type of footage isn't usually blown up for the big screen. I'll probably watch this again on DVD... some day.- Doh!

New Star Trek
I saw the teaser tonight in front of Cloverfield and it wasn't bad. It wasn't spelled out, but I think we were supposed to interpret the footage as the Enterprise being constructed for the first time. Clips of Spock and Kirk would have been much more satisfying, of course.- Doh!

Interesting experiment, but doesn't live up to the hype. (I felt the same way about Blair Witch.) The major problem I have with it is that I have zero interest in any of the characters. If they get killed along the way, no big loss. Come to think of it, that was Blair Witch's weakness as...- Doh!

Favorite type of Steak
When in St. Louis, drop by Citizen Kane's for a helluva steak. The best one I ever made for myself was a $20/lb. New Zealand filet I got at Whole Foods. I marinated it for 3 days in a mixture of red wine ($2 Buck Chuck), olive oil*, soy sauce, a dash of liquid smoke and 1 packet of Chinese...- Doh!
