Awhile back (long before 9/11), I used to have a full beard. A clerk in a 7-11 asked if I was Iranian (I believe he was from there and was looking to bond). I was quite puzzled by this; even with the full beard, I've never looked like anything other than goofy white guy.

Even with my porkpie (it has a pretty wide brim, though). I do have one that I use mainly for rain protection and often have it brim down all around.
I was temping in an office years ago, when one of my fellow temps (a New Yorker) asked me where I was from. When I told him St. Louis, he looked at me kind of puzzledly and said, "But you don't have a southern accent."
I politely told him, "That's because St. Louis ISN'T IN THE SOUTH."...
I foresee this getting closed soon and it's not my intention to push it in that direction, but earlier this year there was a poll taken on the Lounge and about 66% of the respondents associated with some form of religion.

Not me -- I love my days off. In fact, about once a year I accrue enough days so that I can work a 4-day week for about 2 months in a row.
Feels great.
