This thread is worth a read if you’re interested in learning more: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/vanson-vanson-vanson.105617/That's always great to hear from someone who has worn them for a long time, as they are USA-made - an all too rare an occurrence these days.
Thank you. You’re correct about the leather choices Vanson offers. I think they also offer the Roma leathers as well.Very nice jacket - clean lines and the leather in the 2nd image (as you noted) highlights the finer grain and developing creases along the sleeves.
I wasn't aware that you could obtain a Vanson with different leather other than that Comp , Firenze & Z150. I guess if you contact them directly then additional options are available beyond their website - which is aggravating to use to say the least.

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Nice. I got the same jacket last month. I love the naked cowhide. The newest member of the family, the 121. Will be wearing it tomorrow to break in the somewhat stiff cowhide. It is nowhere close to CXL but it is stiff. The front buttons won't be used much, but they take some effort to use, something I think might lessen over time.
Good choiceNice. I got the same jacket last month. I love the naked cowhide.
I am in between sizes and I went for the slimmer fit. So this will be my t shirt fit jacket. If the shoulders were just a little bigger then all the other measurements are actually pretty good for me. The good thing is I have other jackets for layering. I haven’t worn mine a lot yet but the leather has definitely softened up after 3-4 wears.Good choice
Did you get a slimmer or looser fit? I am pleasantly surprised how comfortable this jacket is, despite only being a 23" chest, when I normally need at least 24". I assume there is some stretch in the cowhide to be expected over time.
Who's the maker?Green goat twin peaks, with a nice langlitz homage back.

I do have a couple of Mavericks in the Roma leather - one Brandy and one Granite (Granite no longer available). The Roma is quite nice and the slight up charge is worth it.Thank you. You’re correct about the leather choices Vanson offers. I think they also offer the Roma leathers as well.
They will use almost any leather you want if you can source it. I would confirm with them before doing so just to make sure.
I supplied the Horween Pinnacle HH to Vanson and they made my jacket to order from my specifications. My local dealer was beyond helpful in the process because they were able to get different sizes in a few different styles for me to try on. Vanson used fit photos along with measurements to help dial in the fit.
Not sure how I forgot this, but Duds by Del has a number of fantastic Vanson collabs made in CXL horse hide (Horween I believe) and Badalassi as well.I do have a couple of Mavericks in the Roma leather - one Brandy and one Granite (Granite no longer available). Thanks for sharing your experience regarding your custom Ike - a worthwhile effort and outcome.
