Midwest get together

There will be a midwest US TFL get together 11/6/26 in Chicago. For those of you also into footwear this can be a full weekend as stitchdown expo is 11/7. Details will be forthcoming and will be developed based on interest. RSVP in the thread. Anyone who is interested in attending and needs lodging advise feel free to pm me and i’ll give you my phone number so i can text over recommendations. This will also be posted on VLJ forum by @Mulceber.

Would really love to! Sadly, I have never made it to the London meetings either. There was always some business trip in the way.

I did meet a few of TFL’s finest at a Tradeshow though, and it was an absolute blast.

Highly recommend to get together with like-minded nerds once in a while of at all possible.

Going to try to make this as well. Between kids' school events and Scouts my last three weekends in October are spoken for, but nothing on the family calendar yet for this weekend. I'd probably hop the train and make a day trip out of it.

I might be busy that day as I’m a presenter at a conference downtown. We’ll see if I can make it as the details get organized (from the conference and from TFL).

Second hottest ticket: Lukas Arnd (aka “Luke’s custom belts”) and Berto Creka will be at Stitchdown.
Luke does that crazy 10-15mm belts I posted elsewhere, and Bertl is a boot maker out of Munich. I posted their collab boot in the “What boot…” thread, and both are just crazy one-of-a-kind individuals.

Fellas we are only a month out from the midwest tfl g2g. Things here are off the chain as the kids say. For anyone on the fence about attending know that the shinki tannery has agreed to send a unicorn for us to pet (and maybe ride, the lawyers will have to get that sorted). Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
