Super nice Type III in the denim color - it is definitely seasoning up nicely. The fit of your jackets is ideal but as we age things begin to fit a bit differently. Hopefully you have many decades to enjoy your jackets and share the images with the Lounge.

Gorgeous blue - awesome jacket

You have excelled in your latest additions, but that blue Trucker still stops the show every time.

Right on fellas I appreciate you!

The 4.5 oz horsehide definitely takes it's time breaking in but the heavy weight gives it plenty of potential for developing grain etc. and I think it'll just keep getting better over time. I'm most looking forward to seeing the blue color fade to complete the illusion of a leather "denim" jacket.

Thanks gents, appreciate the kinds words!

This one came at the same time after being ordered about 6 months prior. As if I needed any more jackets.....

model B/Enfield base with the enhanced collar, deleted back center seam, and western yoke with the cost of the in house brandy roma leather shipped to my door for $900!

So just how far can Vanson make that money go?

The leather has a really beautiful color, waxy feel, and pull up appearance going on and no doubt the grain will develop nicely.

Channeling my inner Ma$$hole to answer the question I'd say Vanson makes $900 go wicked far! haha
Congratulations- It’s beautiful. I agree about Vanson producing amazing American made jackets at reasonable prices. I’ve had a custom Enfield for years, and it is better with each wear. Vanson seems to be vastly under appreciated.

Well, you should have gone. Plenty of models with a back of 24-25” for sizes 42/44.
You just have to stick to the classic models and not the new “untucked shirt friendly” abominations.
I actually prefer a slightly longer piece, like the 26" ones I got recently. I'm a 42 regular in suits and a standard large Schott size.

The shorter jackets I've had like an Aero Hwyman, especially when they were newer/stiffer, if zipped would push into my chin so I'd have to unzip them about 1/3 from the top, but slightly longer jackets won't "come up" like that. Longer jackets are also warmer in cold weather.

It comes down as usual to what activity the jacket is being worn for.

X-man, have to hand it to you - it is so hot and humid here in NYC and you're out there rocking the leather with style...I'd kill to wear one of mine today outside but I'd melt like the witch in the Wizard of Oz. And CXL, no less. Not lightweight lambskin or cow - FQHH - wow.

locally made, fit me well but crop and borderline short on the sleeve as with any mass produced denim jacket in my size,

but since its almost white and lightweigh i kind of like it, if i size up the shoulder and chest would be too big , if the sleeve bug me too much i will alter it with a horizontal stripe around the biceps perhaps in natural leather, it would be a cool touch

After washing and wearing from wet to dry last night and it was a little damp when i wear it for morning walk, shrank on the sleeve due to creasings but honestly for a beige denim jacket I really dont mind it, it looks summerly and make sense with how crop it is on the back actually right on my true waist same lenght with my vest my pants pocket is just low.

Newly aquired Indian Ranger from 1957 or 1958. This one popped up for sale locally and I was able to meet up with the seller this morning. The jacket had been purchased by the seller's grandfather and was passed down through three generations.

You’re over eight weeks. Every time I open my closet my jackets look at me like my dog does when he wants to go for a walk. I had to give them a little walking around the house time today.

Each one of those is absolutely smashing, and like me you've got the suede/roughout to "balance" the smoother hides. The 2nd piece looks like my old Aero Cheyenne, but yours actually fits you.
