Once a year my Rhododendron springs forth with blossoms. Whie it's a bit cloudy & cool today, it's nearing peak blooms now.

Only 55F today and quite windy, so a great time for the vintage Cal.

I really don’t go for the jacket on jacket thing. It seems to try hard, impractical, and uncomfortable. That said, I have a busy day and needed to get @notherealhankaaron to the dog park first thing this morning. It was 32° and too cold for my new deviant, but I wanted to get some wear time in. I layered with my grandfathers old M43. In my opinion the M65 is a cooler jacket but i have so many memories of my gramps wearing this one that i’m sentimental.

That is so great - man, I wish I had a jacket my granddad wore, or even my dad! But I doubt I could squeeze into them Cheers!

Freenote Cloth FJ-1 in Maryam "black magic" horsehide
Freenote doesn't have a long history of making leather jackets and I'm not crazy about their patterns. Wouldn't pay the full retail price that's for sure but took a chance on a barely used jacket 40% off retail and I'm so glad that I did. Dripping with quality, check out the spring loaded sleeve zippers and the main zipper. The main and sleeve lining(s). And the star of the show the wax finished horsehide!
