Just received an aero black cxl I bought from @TartuWolf, beautiful leather! and fits almost perfectly on me. what do you guys think about the body length of the jacket on me I feel like its too short since it ends above my belt line and sleeves are also half an inch to an inch shorter than i'd like but still pretty good. how does it look compared to my schott length and sleeves and if I ever decide to order a custom made aero in similar style how much would you guys recommend I add in body and sleeves length? should I add a bit to shoulders as well if it's slightly tight?

Looks pretty good as long as you’re comfortable in the chest and shoulders. I would try higher rise jeans/trousers to see if that fixes your issue before deciding to order a longer length jacket as either your jeans are very low rise or your torso is very long, judging from these pics.

They are engineers, from the wonderful Danes at Bright Shoemakers/Wardrobe 19 :)

Cheers mate

Oh! I've been cruising their website for a couple of years. Don't often see them in the wild! I'm hoping within the next couple of years to manage a holiday to Copenhagen (went there once with work in 2001, it was great), and obviously I plan to walk away with at least one pair of boots.... I'm a big fan of their derby shoes with a Western design edge too.

The Café Racer doesn't have a slim fit pattern, as I found out the hard way, and configuring it to be smaller for a slim fit didn't work for me, at least.
I agree with this assessment, especially if you have a V or Y shaped torso.

I love cr’s but I’ve only found 2 designs that fit me slim without being too short, they have shoulder gussets and an action back which help with mobility when zipped up.

One has a slightly longer and wider body than the other but I feel like they both fit pretty good imho, sadly the lighter one just doesn’t work with most of my wardrobe and rarely gets worn outside.

I just bought a used g1 jacket and noticed the zipper does not zip all the way up. It drops down about 4 to 5 inches every time I zip it up all the way. Is this normal for the navy issued jackets.
The zipper should work as intended. I’ve never had one of my jackets have this issue.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned it yet given all the attention it's previously gotten on here, but Steve Rogers' (modified Aero?) battlefield jacket in the first Captain America movie was pretty cool for the 10-15 seconds it appeared.

Nice. I like the plain snaps. :)

Both are great looking jackets that fit very well. The sleeves are a tad short on the brown, but a wristwatch on one side and bracelet on the other would tastefully bridge the gaps.
