First impressions of horween's hh Pinnacle

My 1930's half belt in pinnacle hh from Aero arrived a couple weeks ago and I couldn't find too much information about this leather when ordering so I thought I'd share my impressions of it.

I'd characterize it as the pollar opposite of cxl before break in, from the moment it came out of the box the leather was extremely supple and soft while still feeling really substantial, it's definitely lighter and a little thinner (1.4mm vs 1.1mm) than full weight cxl hh but I'd say it's still quite heavy and thick.

The jacket required no break in, was extremely comfortable and had great draping from the moment I first put it on,
It would be really interesting to see what other makers can do with it (As of now I think Aero are the only ones using it)

Hi would like your advice please ,
I bought a Russett Badallasi Steerhide Jacket from Aero a couple of years ago size 42 .Its a beautiful jacket however It always felt a bit heavy for me and not soft enough . I am now thinking about their Pinnacle Brown Jackets
Can anyone tell me the difference between the two jackets please
Thank you
Tom

This pinnacle looks very like the midweight horsehide used on the halfbelt I've just sold on the forum. Brilliant stuff much more comfortable than the fqhh.

I’ve never handled Badalassi, but the Pinnacle is the easiest leather to live with that I’ve owned. It’s very soft and pliable and is my most comfortable leather jacket. The jacket will literally pile up in a ball from day 1. Good luck with your decision!

Very nice jacket! I'll probably try pinnacle if I go Aero again.
If possible, I would recommend seeing one in person or getting some samples of the leather before you move forward. It has a very different quality to it than my other jackets. I think it’s beautiful and as mentioned very comfortable, and I think it’s always good to examine for yourself if you can.
