I envy you Melissa, I wish I could watch it from scratch again! It's a great show... up until the last season, which goes WAY off the rails.

Started to watch the latest "Fauda". A good show but it really is just more Israeli spy folks doing stupid **** that endangers their partners.

But if you didn't have people doing stupid/dangerous stuff TV wouldn't exist. How many times are we going to see the police show up at the front door of a premise only to have the bad guy go out the back? Don't these cops watch TV???? I know yelling at the TV does not work but I can't help myself.

"Manifest" People got on a plane, hit severe turbulence and landed five and a half years later. First episode was good. We'll see how it goes from here.

Second episode of The Last of Us which was fantastic.

Unfortunately, with Pennyworth I'm now at that dreadful point in any show where I'm caught up with the backlog and have to wait Sunday to Sunday for the remaining episodes. I hate it when the streamers do these weekly releases, taking away one of the huge advantages of streaming - being able to watch at your own speed - and replicating some of the old frustrations with linear broadcasting. What annoys me even more about it is that they have the nerve to pretend it's all about some joyous, shared experience, the fun of anticipation and other such nonsense, when the truth is that they're trying to stretch out the release as long as possible in the hope that of those who might be persuaded to subscribe just for that, many of them will crack and end up paying for the three months to watch it week to week than one month to binge. It's all rather starting to remind me of the days when we waited about the DVDs for Game of Thrones because it was markedly cheaper than paying for the monthly packages we'd have needed for several months each year in order to see a whole season... Bah.​

I'll go on record here with my suspicion that ultimately Alfie's lovechild will turn out to be a] a boy, and b] be adopted by the Waynes..... with Alfie brought on board as their Butler to keep watch over his son, without his true identity as the boy's father ever being revealed to young Bruce. That would feel in keeping with the tone of this take on the Batman mythology - for all it's comicbookiness (in the best possible way), it's also very adult and rather dark. [/i end spoiler alert ]​

I very much enjoyed its hokiness. It has a feel of the world in which Tarrantino's Inglorious *******s existed; the difference being here the *******s failed, Germany's WWII-era leader escapes... Operation Paperclip is very real, and the Germany's WWII-era leaderships are on the move again in the 1970s... Putting Germany's WWII-era leader on trial in a manner with firm echoes of our world's trial of Albert Eichmann in Tel Aviv in 1961 was an interesting final flourish. It's schlocky and a bit B-movie in the best possible way - great story, well told. A bit of a romp, but at no stage did I feel it diminished the holocaust in any way. (It does sidestep some of the criticisms re this with the 'human chess game' it received in the first series.) There is probably room for some other story to be told within that universe, but this particular group's story is well wound up and feels complete now. Interesting too to look at the way they play out the events of hunting Germany's WWII-era leaderships in those days, when it was a lot more about physical espionage and tracking still. The internet really has changed so much.

Good show; binged it on streaming a couple of years ago. I'd love to see a sequel show covering the return to Russia, the collapse of the USSR, and such.

I especially enjoy the extensive on-site shooting , even the studio takes have been produced in SF, and the socially critical approach to many stories.
Not to mention the appearance of many well known actors, some coming heavy weights included.

I haven't seen an episode since it first aired. Been a long time and I only vaguely recall anything beyond the premise.

Yes, that was excellent. I'd love to see more from the makers of that. I was fascinated by the Berlin Wall when I was much younger, and have always been intrigued by depictions of Berlin in that period.

The think that really fascinated me when I visited the first time was how West Berlin was this little, penned in bit. Outside, the notion w saw depicted of "escaping to the free West Berlin" was of an iron curtain down the middle, rather than West Berlin being a little bit surrounded by the wall. As ever, the reality was much more complex than the simplified media picture we saw outside Germany. I loved Berlin, been far too long since I was last there. Must change that....

This limited series was almost too good, truly sorry when it was over.
Elizabeth Moss is great. It works perfectly on a thriller level but also, a time travel, dimension shifting story.

In addition, as someone who spent half his life in Chicago, this may be the first time I believe someone actually captured the city, it's feel, on film
