... and about as plentiful as teeth on a hen. A Blatt perfecto-style can be had even as we speak, but this d-pocket is the one to have, I think.

I think the Blatt Perfecto style jackets have levels to them. @jonbuilder has one that is end gamey. Nicest hide I have seen on a Blatt. The D pocket is the one I would want though.

It’s black with a slight brown hue to it. Depends upon what type light you’re viewing under. If you saw it next to a black jacket- you would definitely say it’s brown.

Today my old "Open Road" brand motorcycle jacket made of cowhide and very much copied from the 618 Schott Perfecto. Superb patina, beautiful cut and very good manufacturing quality for a very reasonable price at the time. He lived but still holds the road!
