fantastic. Looks amazing. I'm getting in line too. I already got a couple exchanges with him about some ideas. Going for black (debating the teacore version), might take off the hand warmer pockets though.

I gave him my body measurements instead of jacket, but that's actually a good idea too. Thing is, most of my leather stuff is in "breaking in" mode from all the covid sales, being 100 degrees in Los Angeles until this past week, etc. etc. So I dont know how to account for the stretch and the already broken in shinki. I'm assuming you can go a little tighter since there'll be some give in the leather. Need to nail it for sure at that price point LOL. I guess that 5 Star experiment got a lot of us tuned into our best fit and measurements.

Yes, the teacore is nice. It sold out so you'll wait a while for next batch of delivery. My jacket is a t shirt only jacket lol not much room for anything else. Still wish it had a proper collar though, it would have made it easier to dress up or down.

Man, SoCal is so warm lol didn't you get one of those bombers recently lol
I don't think this will stretch very much, it will relax drape and soften but won't be so forgiving. Request for a fit jacket, that way you will be certain and have no regrets. True, I think I'm pretty certain now what measurements work best and my next jacket with Greg will allow me to wear a light sweater this time ha!

if I would buy the jacket again I would leave out the hand warmer pockets too. because on the one hand I don't use them anyway and on the other hand they are reinforced from the back with a leather strip, which is not optimal with the unreinforced soft leather above ... at least with my tight fit.
This can be seen from the crease above the pocket.

Yeah, I bought a used Aero Bomber from classified. Freaking gorgeous. It's getting tailored right now to bring in the waist and abdomen area a few inches so I don't look like the Michellin Man. I'm wearing that thing regardless, I don't care if I pass out. I was actually trying to figure out ways to shave down the shearling a little to make it more manageable LOL. But thing is, I'll wear it like in 20 minute bursts to take the dogs out or whatever. It gets down into the 40s Nov-Feb at night, so I'll get some miles on it.

It's true that it will drape easier. I never use the pockets too but still nice to have it.

Given the option for a remake, I'll probably delete the hand warmers, keep the chest pockets and add 2 internal pockets with snap/zip and call it a day

It's one of those jacket that's nice to have for sure. Wow, that's a lot to consider having a lining that warm haha yep, I can't wait for the cold to come and stay these days too, I will probably want one of those preowned or if the five star shearling works out then that's an option too.

Not so much wearing, as Debating the Fit of 2 jackets.

Seeking a little honest feedback here, both these jackets are borderline for me, and may indeed wind up in the Classifieds in short order.

I'll provide the same shots of each jacket, and rather then me suggesting what me be wrong, seek your honest feedback from each shot - know it's appreciated from the start. In these photos I am 6' 1" tall, 195 lbs, wear size 36 waist jeans and Apx 16.5x36" dress shirt. In the photos I am wearing a cotton T-shirt and a mid-weight denim shirt. Due to flash, photos appear a bit "gohsty" but that is not a Halloween trick.

For my subjective taste:

First sits like a wurst casing, length is good.

Second fits a bit better but too short.

Both have way too tight sleeves.

I would not take any of these, if they would fit me that way. Reminds me a bit on MAMIL to be honest.

I like the fit of the HWYman better. Trim fit i like the sleeves and the length. Mine had pretty tight upper back and shoulders had to flip two premier versions and go non premier cut. I like some room to move esp with the heavier weight cxl leathers
