Yes, I was surprised on how profound the color change was with single application of Obenauf's. I think this is due to this being aniline-dyed leather, with no discrete top layer that I could see. The color will probably lighten up with time, but I can always apply a bit more. I do like it better that way - more versatile, for sure. I also like how the stitching popped up on the darkened hide.

@Hh, That jacket would make your J23 crumple and cower in the corner!!! I heard you mention this BEAST before, but this is the first time I seen it. Is it a Langlitz made for a Japanese company? I have never heard of Kadoya!

Is that thing made out of Godzilla hide????

Thanks, RK!
The jacket weight 8.5 lbs, the hide is not as thick as LW, but it is super stiff(It bruised my arm from first few times try on when new) even compare to brand new LW 4oz plus HH.
The company has no business connection to Langlitz as far as I know, the hide (they called Hard Steer)is produced from Korea, and the jacket is made in China.
I don't see any difference from LW in terms of quality, I can't imagine how it is possible to sew this super stiff leather together.

The only downside of this jacket is the finish of the hide is rather easy to scratch off from normal use.

Price is around $720.

Do they have an English website or a translate option? I would love to check them out a little more.

@Hh, Thanks for all the info. That jacket looks amazing!! Looks like it is well broken in. Looks like Langlitz quality for half the price! Looks like an EXACT copy of a padded Columbia!

You have to be careful when you wear it!!! You might break things!!! Make sure you chain it back up when your done with it!

Thanks, it is actually brand new jacket, I only wore outside twice including this morning. Of course dozens of times indoor because I am too cowardly to wear it in public.

Another Sunday morning business trip. Managed to squeeze the suit in the carry-on to be able to wear this.

Ca. 3 year old Aero Premier 30s HB. The colour is a rich, deep brown, resembling an Isle-of-Islay scotch in the sunlight. I have actually been stopped in the street by strangers twice questioning me about the jacket.
