Certainly not what I would think of as a fine hat, but this navy blue Bailey fedora did a nice job of complementing a navy suit and made me the only hat wearer at a wedding. Plus I got some good baby holding time in with a great nephew.

This hat arrived wrapped in the shop’s original paper. It was never sold to the public
Albertini Marron rigido D.jpg

It is an Albertini, dating from before the company’s merger with Panizza.

Many details point to this, though one can never be entirely certain, as there was no drastic shift in construction or finishing techniques between the Albertini era and Panizza merger

The felt is of good quality, but very stiff. Its color evokes the changing hues of the woodlands around Verona.
Have a nice Saturday and compliments to you for the everyday hats

What hat are you wearing here? Looks good, and like the perfect fit for your time outdoors.

This is a Herbert Johnson Poet, originally shaped as an Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom hat, but I had Sam reshape it into a Raiders of the Lost Ark hat. The shape of the Indy hat varies somewhat from movie to move.

Herbert Johnson made the original hats for the first three Indy movies. The Poet was the starting point for those hats.

Apparently the current HJ Poet Indy hat is not the most screen accurate version out there, but it works for me, and I got a pretty good deal on it. This one is in rabbit.

I may have Mike Miller or Michael Gannon make me one in beaver at some point - leaning away from Penman at the moment, but who knows.

I didn’t grow up being an Indy fanatic, but the hat has an interesting place in the hat universe, and it turns out to be a particularly useful, wearable hat for me.
