Just saw Skyfall. Wow. Incredibly well done. Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, and Daniel Craig gave superb performances. Darker than most Bond films, but wonderful.

Just bought the Columbia Pre-Code Collection and, so far, watched Jean Harlow in Three Wise Girls (1932). They still weren't quite sure what to do with Jean yet and you can see it!

Guy Pierce started out in the long-running, cheap Australian soap Neighbours. However, I'm currently watching Get the Gringo, the highly entertaining film Mel Gibson flick that went straight to DVD in the US because Mel is/was still considered box office poison. A shame, though, because it's basically a really good thriller/spaghetti western, with Gibson what he does best: extremely flawed heroes trying to do the right thing in impossible circumstances.

Currently and once again, Goodfellas. A great flick that I always stop to watch when it is on, if just for a few minutes. Great cast, great mood, great music.
:D
My wife and I watch the censored for tv version (like what was on Spike TV today) just to hear what they insert for the curse words.
Our favorite is "go kiss your mother." :) Although there are other funny ones in there. It's the Mystery Science Theater 3000 in us that causes this problem. :)
Tonight I watched Baron Blood. An Italian horror from the early 70's with Elke Sommer.

Last night, Skyfall. Not up to Casino Royale, better than Quantum of Solace, but not one I'm going to see it again or rent it on disc. Was sort of disappointed to learn what the title means. I can accept Craig as a reboot of the Bond franchise, but I didn't enjoy the darker tone this movie has. Did enjoy the references to the "classic" Bondiverse.

"Seven Psychopaths" - B-minus - Walken is a hoot, him and Harrelson steal the whole flick. One wild bloody ride. Kinda reminds me of "Smokin' Aces". I laughed, fest remorse and left satisfied.

I agree that it's not as good as Casino Royale. I can't quite put my finger on what I don't love, exactly, about Skyfall...
