I'll throw in with the lot, too. I'm not impressed at all with any of the new Stetsons. I have an open crown Premier Whippet that a fellow lounger gave me because he was sorely disappointed with it. I could see why once I received it. I had to take it apart and rework it. For the money he spent buying it he could have had one custom made by some of the hatters on the Lounge. That would be your best route, to go custom. That way you'll have a better quality hat the way you want it. Check out a few of the hatters here and see which one can make you up a hat at a price you're willing to pay.
Thanks for your input. I’ll definitely keep this in mind.
Steven

Charlie, that’s probably the “Ultimate” in thin ribbon hats imho. One in a million!! The liner logo is incomparable, the color a “Royal” purple hue. Beyond outstanding!! And i know the felt is devine. I look forward to seeing it often. Thanks
Be well. Bowen

Strat clone by Knox. My favorite thin ribbon. New overcoat, cashmere/wool blend made in Italy.

That hat, that coat, they look like they were cut from the same cloth. Perfect!! Nothing, i mean nothing feels like a cashmere long coat! Almost makes you want winter to stay. Well, kinda almost. Sweet getup!

Last time the blue Dobbs Fifteen made an appearance, it was suggested that I give it more rake.

Done.

Me likes it.
Alot.

Speaking of Blue... I missed yesterday's fun because of undertheweatherness. I've been trying to go back and review yesterday's hats, etc... Tapatalk keeps crashing on me. It's very hurtful...

My point: do we know if Blue is a dad now? If so, do we know if Baby Blue is a boy or girl?

Thanks & have fun.

Breaking a toe is one thing which not much can be done. But messing up the tarsals and metatarsals, bones above the toes, can be another story altogether. A week ago?? Just sayin...
You could be right, and I appreciate the information. But as I mentioned upthread I've done this before and it does appear to be healing as expected, so for now I'll let it. Besides, I'm stubborn and don't like seeing doctors unless I absolutely have to. :D That might come back to bite me on the backside one of these days, but I'll deal with it when/if the time comes.

...Oh yeah... nice hat whatever you’re wearing.
Be well. Bowen
Oh, right. To bring this back to the main topic, today was a two-hat day for me. While running errands earlier I wore "Cane's Creations #36", made by Tim Mahovich before he adopted the name Alley Kat Hat Co.. I haven't taken any new photos of this one for a while, so these photos are from 2014:

Rabbit felt in Whiskey with a 1940s-era 1-1/2" Grosgrain ribbon in a color called "Dark Coffee" (according to Tim's vendor). Crown height is 4-3/8" at the pinch and 4" at the rear; brim width is 2-3/4". By far it's my best and most favorite hat; I look forward to the day when I can afford to have Tim make me another hat.

Later in the early evening when I took our dog for his nightly walk I wore my Akubra Campdraft in Taupe Fawn. These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago:

We now return to our regular thread topic, already in progress.

It appears he is! Unless he stole a baby and started taking Instagram pictures with it...
Thanks Wess. That's great news. Of course... I guess he could have stolen or leased a children.
That beautiful Dobbs is just perfect now Matt. I have not seen a post from Blue on Facebook yet. He is probably kind of busy right now.
Thanks Mike.

Yes, and we are having an unseasonably warm winter this year. So this heavy warm coat is not getting it's due.
