You could be right, and I appreciate the information. But as I mentioned upthread I've done this before and it does appear to be healing as expected, so for now I'll let it. Besides, I'm stubborn and don't like seeing doctors unless I absolutely have to. :D That might come back to bite me on the backside one of these days, but I'll deal with it when/if the time comes.
Oh, right. To bring this back to the main topic, today was a two-hat day for me. While running errands earlier I wore "Cane's Creations #36", made by Tim Mahovich before he adopted the name Alley Kat Hat Co.. I haven't taken any new photos of this one for a while, so these photos are from 2014:
Rabbit felt in Whiskey with a 1940s-era 1-1/2" Grosgrain ribbon in a color called "Dark Coffee" (according to Tim's vendor). Crown height is 4-3/8" at the pinch and 4" at the rear; brim width is 2-3/4". By far it's my best and most favorite hat; I look forward to the day when I can afford to have Tim make me another hat.
Later in the early evening when I took our dog for his nightly walk I wore my Akubra Campdraft in Taupe Fawn. These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago:
We now return to our regular thread topic, already in progress.
Two great looking hats Mr. Z.

Happy Groundhog Day.

Stetson Royal DeLuxe Racine.
Sent directly from my mind to yours.
Love the Racine Jim. The ribbon color on this one is a great feature.

Ye ol' trusty Premier Vita-Felt for the rainy fry dee.
Have a swell day, everyone.
Looking sharp under that Vita-Felt. Always enjoy a hat doing it's job.

Nice Fed IV sir. If I were to pull the trigger on an Akubra, this would be the one.

Nice old Stetson, looking good with all those beautiful minerals.

Sharp looking hat, great crease.

Today my Stetson Gun Club. It is a Royal Deluxe really nice grey heathered short hair.......
One of the few I wear with a feather.....seems right for this sporting hat. Wish I had the rifle pin that would originally have come with it......

That is a sweet Gun Club. It almost looks green on my monitor this morning. That finish is so nice.

@mayserwegener r, I envy the hat AND the visit with Daniele. Boy do I miss real Italian food.
Adrian, Thanks! Yes great food!

Rich color and cool texture on that sweat. This is a sweetheart. That die is also interesting, do they just retire them when they wear out? How do these come onto the market?
Mike, Thank you! I guess they were replaced if worn out. I have a large number of them. I guess some were used liners and paper labels. Some might have been used for sweatbands. Most of mine came from a collector in the Czech Republic. I also purcheased some from a Austrian seller. They have become collectibles today. For example when I visited Zapf they had a collection of them.

Seems like Friday is a good day for a Homburg Hullabaloo, ending the week with some class. So, the Mallory Ten gets the ride today. Crazy warm for the dead of winter here in Oregon, so the overcoat from yesterday will have to stay home. Love this hat, came to me via @mmbarnes

Man... That is one pretty brown 'burg. The wide brim is just awesome. And it looks right at home on you.

Great looking Resistol. It deserves lots of head time.
I don't recall seeing many Extra Long Oval lids. Nice.
