Hello,
Firstly I would like to introduce myself as this is my first post, I presume one of many of someone finding or thrifting a hat, for that I apologize.
My name is Patrick and I live in Slovenia, I like to collect coins, bullion, retro computer things, I consider myself to be a bit of a picker.
Sometimes I love to go to a garage sale or a flea marker to look for things I might find interesting.
This weekend me and my girlfriend decided to go to Vienna to visit a friend and do coin hunts. The trip was very nice and amongst many of the things we did, we decided to go to Humana to look for cool used clothes. After browsing a bit she found a Coat and I found a cool American Texas Jersey, nothing to special.
We looked around for a bit and I saw this nice looking hat in the cheap isle in the corner of the store. It reminded me of her grandpa, he has an affinity for wearing hats and said to her: "Hey we could get your grandpa the hat because it actually looks kinda nice" I took the hat into my hands and it felt incredibly nice to touch and my spidey senses started to tingle, the hat not only feels nice but it looks brand new. I flipped it over and I saw the golden letters Borsalino.
I had no clue what that is but the hat felt exuisit. I did a quick Google and very quickly my heart started to race "I think this is worth buying" I thaught to myself especialy because of the 15€ price tag.
A trip to the register a ride back to Slovenia and im here now presenting her to you (yes in my mind its a she). My main concern is if it's even real. If so, I also don't exactly still know what it is (besides a hat obviously) I would love to know more about this pice how old it what do all the stamps mean, how well its actualy preserved etc.
I will be happy for any help or intrest in this post.
Thank you, Patrick.
