It never fails to make me happy when I think about the time and effort he put in to supporting his wacky kid's Grateful Dead obsession. He must have thought I was nuts (if so, he was probably right). According to info on the Keith Brothers from The Professor, this hat stands a good chance of having been made during the First World War, or perhaps even by a veteran returning to civilian life after coming home from that terrible conflict.

Spent a wonderful day on the Oregon Coast today. Figured I needed less wind resistance so I wore the Cavanagh stingy. There was no wind to speak of, and unseasonably warm at 62 degrees. Good day for a hat at the beach!

It is a grey (palladio) felt with short hair finish
Different light to show the felt shades

Very malleable and soft. Made in the old Borsalino factory

It was sold in Cavalieri shop, Parma
