Lookin' sharp Josh!

Josh, The whole package looks sharp.

BR

Add my appreciation to the chorus... nicely photographed too!

you clean-up nice

Thank you everybody for your very kind words!!! This suit is my only 3 piece suit to date because I always try and look for the high cut/6 button vests and high lapel jackets. They are not always easy to come by in "modern" suits and until last month, I had been looking for this type of suit for about a year. I hope I can find another in a black or dark navy blue pinstripe or chalk-stripe.

Hey Dave,

Curious; Alan has mentioned this too. It seems the consensus is that newer Borsalino's are not up to vintage standards. How so?

Bob

The 50s Borsalino I have has what I think is the same quality of felt as my new Alessandrias I got from Bencraft. The stiffener is all washed out so of course it will feel different. The sweatbands aren't quite so nice, but they're not crap.

There is a tendency to say that anything modern is crap compared to vintage, but I'm not one. One of the advantages of modern is that it is new and you are the first to wear it. That matters to me. It matters less or not at all to others.

Thanks, Alan. Your pictures again are great. Looks like you and your father have a nice relationship. I love the dog, too!

Many thanks for the note. We don't get to see each other often enough and the visits we do get are special. It gets pretty sparse out on the east end after Labor Day - the dog (Buck, Siberian husky) is his reminder to get up and out of the house. They are a good fit for each other. I have some additional pictures of my travels last week for Fedoras Afield later on.

Oh cr*p, I left the door to the chicken coop wide open for the fox! lol

Great finds. I've been finding quite a few hats, but not many in my size.

Old Austrian Velour I picked up a couple weeks ago.

I'd rather that the tables be turned and I could get my head into that cap. It looks great.

David: Lovely Borsalino. You have come full circle and have returned to the Brotherhood! lol

Thanks AL. You know the Brotherhood, easy to join but hard to leave! Looks as though you had a great hat weekend - nice shots!

Al, David thanks for your kind words. W&Ws are amazing hats. Wait 'till it get colder to see the homburg I have from them! ;)
BTW, I'd like to see the inside of your Borsalino, David. Did you post in the Brotherhood thread? I might have missed it...

Cheers, Ale! No photos yet - the Borsalino actually only arrived a few days ago. Very pleased with it so far. I have some others to document - including the Rollable - so I'll try and get soem done.

Took a trip to Washington DC last week. I brought along my Beaver Blend Twenty:

I got to wondering a few times, as long as this hats been around - I wonder if it were here before. Its entirely possible I suppose that this hat had been in some of these buildings before I was born.
