What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

Sitting on the back porch wearing my BG campdraft and warm jacket smoking a cigar. Onyx nightfall. I am fond of maduros that are smooth. These definitely are.

Navy flake in a WWI-vintage Dunhill (not sure if this is a "family" pipe or an "estate" pipe: it originally belonged to the father of my great-uncle's third wife, but I bought it at the estate sale).
Wow, I'm curious to know if you have documented it in any way to the WWI era? I have a Dunhill with the Vernon fitting & stinger patented in 1931 & discontinued ~1941.

Was in Italy not long ago and picked up a box of Toscano cigars. Ridiculously inexpensive (under 10 Euros for five). Was surprised to learn that they come with a bit of history. Produced since 1818, they are made from Kentucky Tobacco that is grown in Italy. They are the cheroots that Clint Eastwood chewed on in his Spaghetti Westerns. Nice, even smoke. Flavor is on the rough side, but not unpleasantly so. Perfect for an evening with a glass of grappa, watching the swallows.
