What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

How do you like that tobacco? I've been thinking of picking up some of their tins but I've read mixed reviews... especially when it comes to the Plumcake.

I broke out the pipe for the first time in many months today and am enjoying a beautiful night and gorgeous moon sitting on the roof of my dorm.

The tobacco is a virginia blend called His Master's Choice from Georgetown Tobacco. I bought it in the fall and did not like it, so I had it sitting in a jar since then, and either my tastes have changed by not smoking for so long (I buy one tobacco at a time) or it aged well.

Oliva Serie O maduro double robusto last night. It came from a new box I received a couple of weeks ago. I think it needs more time to rest but still a pretty good smoke. I could taste the sweetness of the maduro wrapper on my lips and the fullness of the blend as I smoked it. Lagavulin was my beverage of choice for this one.

Don't cut it too far down if you are smoking the torpedo. It tastes better. Keep your lighter handy. They burn crazy unevenly.:eusa_doh: They will self correct after a while though---and then do it again. Oh and $25 each!

Nice. I am guessing you aged these a few years? They supposedly smoke better after a few years but they smoke fine to me with less. Even burn with a nice strong taste. It's a #2 but smaller and more convenient for a "quick" smoke.
