Tough week at work. Saturday evening I rewarded myself with a Romeo y Julieta and two fingers of Glen Garioch. It’s hard to remain stressed out for long, if you are in an Adirondack chair on a patch of grass on a summer’s eve with a nice cigar and a little whiskey.
Opened the last box of my Montecristo#4's .....I have mixed thoughts about Cuban cigars in general as I have had some very poorly made ones. But this one was everything a Cuban should be. Perfect draw all the way through, perfect ash burn with no evening up burn required, did not have to relight it at any time and the flavour was wonderful. Sadly I have but 2 left and no plans to return to Cuba anytime soon.
The Wise Man Lancero this evening with (gasp) a glass of water! Never heard of “The Wise Man” before these, but I enjoy an occasional Lancero and decided to try a 5 pack of them. Not bad at all!
I had some Boswell Railroad Station in a Peterson 314. By the way I now have a new Peterson it is a 999 in the Dracula finish. I have only had one bowl in it and I think it will be a great smoking pipe.
