I saw that tour, as well - billed to be his "farewell" tour (which seems to be continuing). Pleasantly surprised to find Don Brewer (GFR) on the kit that night. This was the first time I ever saw him headline. Previously, I saw him open for several acts - even Black Sabbath. It seemed that, in the 70s, it was either him or Blue Oyster Cult opening, no matter who the headliner was!
