What are some super casual leather shoes or brands?

Good morning,

I currently enjoy a pair of Ecco soft 7 shoes as my go-to.

Once it wears out, something similar to go with a brown leather jacket and jeans would be great! I'll basically be wearing it and using it in nearby forest trails and in town. Recommendations are appreciated.

In case you might get your hands on them at your place you might possibly try Solovairs.

Caution: Those sneakers are Made in Portugal, not England.

I had a pair of these Campers in both black and brown, twenty odd years ago:

Very comfy indeed. I wore them constantly for the office and casually for several years. In 2008, the brown pair were my only shoes for a three week tour around the East of China, and went everywhere with me (including up the Great Wall). After five or six years of wear, I moved away from the style, and passed the on to my Dad, ho got years out of them as well. I don't honestly know if they can be resoled (possibly), though if what you want is a fancy sneaker, worth looking into.

Here in the UK they're now £200 notes or less. I remember paying eighty for mine, but that was about 2002. I also bought them in Palma, Mallorca. They are (or were, but I haven't heard of that changing) made in a factory on Mallorca, which is where I discovered them, so they were likely cheaper to buy there than the UK at the time. I used to be in and out of Mallorca a couple of times a year back then as the U of the Balearic Islands was a project partner of ours in those days.

I only really moved away from them because I stopped wearing sneakers altogether and they came to look too modern for my tastes, though they have kind of the vibe of a pair of mid-century looking low-quarter football boots to my eye now. Most of the menswear department brands do something similar now here in the UK (CHarles TYrwhitt and the likes), though imo (YMMV, naturally) Camper makes the best fist of producing what looks like a casual leather shoe rather than a sort of fancy-sneaker that looks like somebody's trying to skirt the office dresscode rules.

The other alternative is to go for something that is a more traditional but casual shoe, as Turnip suggests. Solovair is a good option. I'm very fond of my Sanders Military Derby shoes that work equally well with a suit or jeans, but they're impossible to find in brown, alas. (If they did them in brown and burgundy I'd already have a pair of each). Something in that vein, though, shouldn't be hard to find. Rubber sole of some sort (a deep tread like a Command sole will look instantly more casual than a Dainite), plain or cap toe derby laced. Trickers do some superb options there, if you feel like something spendy. Otherwise, Grenson are well worth a look as they do a lot of this sort of thing, particularly if you want something with an overall look that you could get away with wearing with a suit if needs be.

I don’t know if you can find them where you are…but if want something different but good quality have a look for Kamo Gutsu. I love “the original” series. The quality is very good and they need a little break in to achieve the max comfort.

I have a pair of Sneaker1 but I don't find them that comfortable.
Somehow their boots and shoes are easier on my feet.

Goral or Crown Northampton make some in fancier leather.
Not in the same price range though.

Get a pair of Jim Green vellies, or you could go with their Shoelies.

I guess they don't offer them standard in their " tan " leather, or really as many options at all as they did just a couple years ago ( this pair is a custom order ) but they do have a couple options you might like.
Their khaki rough out is amazing.

I dubbed mine because I'm wearing them as my warm weather beaters and general workshop boots ( easy to take on / off when taking my bib overalls on / off ) but they look great when new.

I also like how they look dubbed too, a bit more of a rugged appearance that never really shows it's age.
Custom shop pricing has gone up quite a bit in the past couple years sadly, but I don't know how much you want to spend.
The standard vellies are an unbeatable value at $135, and the Shoelies are only $130.
Their Houston brown shoelie could be just the ticket.

The Jim Green vellies & shoelies are good looking, they're comfortable, durable, well priced, and they're made with a traditional 360° stitch down construction.
By the time they wear out you may not even remember how long you've had them.

I really like these: GEA Waldviertler Sommertramper. There is also a low-height version, but I don't really like the low highs from Waldviertler.
That's why I only have the high ones in all versions (Jaga, Tramper, Mustang, Wirbelwind).

Edit:
If you're more into trainers, I've got those too. Made entirely of leather except for the sole, sustainably produced, and resolable.

I wear their African Rangers throughout the spring/summer/fall - have a pair of the barefoot as normal ones, they're fantastic shoes for the money. I also really like what Jim Green stands for.

I've really been enjoying two pairs of Paraboot Reims loafers that I bought last year. I wear them when we are at our place in France. They slip on and off easily and the thick soles are great on the cobblestone streets in the medieval part of town where we live. And they look great!

I also really like the Drake's suede chukka and wear it often and a pair of Morjas suede loafers. In my late 50's I'm finding a new appreciation for the easy on/off styles. Speaking of which I also find the JL chelsea boots to be a fantastic option. Really comfortable and versatile to dress up or down (not with a suit but great for smart casual).

Finally, here in the US I've been putting a lot of time on the two pairs of EasyMoc Ramblers I bought last year.
