1930's - 1940's German ski-cap in the typical "Baschlik" or mountain-cap style, made from dark brown wool tricot with faux leather trimmings and buckle.

The interior is comfortably quilted. Under the earflaps is still the size label. It is a 57 cm (7 UK, 7 1/8 US) cap.

These were popular back then not only for winter sports, but also for workwear. They go particularly nicely together with brown leather jackets in my opinion.
