It does look a lot like the Octagon, but it's hard to convey through photos! There are some red hues to this brown that the camera seems to magnify, but in person the leather shows a variety of ruddy brown colors.

Glad you're okay from the wreck! A tool is needed to reset the snap...if you buy a snap kit at Tandy Leather, you'll have everything you need (tool, snaps, etc.). However, we're happy to do the work as well...just let us know...
