The errors you wish you did not make

Damn, I guess I'm one of the 4.02%.

I used to have OTR leather jackets (a long time ago), but to be honest, they never fit me very well. Interestingly, fabric jackets look better, although I sometimes wish they were 1 cm longer in the body and sleeves. But they're just about okay.

To risk being presumptuous, you have a clear, very specific vision of what you are trying to achieve, to the point that you pretty much went full on MTM with 5 Star. So that's different. Regardless, I remember your early photos, before your custom jackets and since you already knew what works for you, they all fit you very well. That's what I mean; While you knew you could do better, it wasn't until you taught me what that better is, that I would've thought you needed to customize any of your jackets.

Of course customization isn't completely pointless but it is risky, expensive and almost never really essential.

Its because you're very tall and muscular, OTR is made to fit most "normal" sized people, when you're very tall or very fat, MTM is interesting.

Assuming that sizing is accurate and not 2 sizes smaller than your actual size, even if a sizing chart says it will fit you....especially in regards to back/ torso length

Diving in on eBay without coming here to learn first.

Even after learning being too impulsive and impatient meaning :

Buying based on tag size

Forgetting some measurements

Not paying enough attention to every detail

Not requesting more measurements

I have always regretted paying retail for something niche and low-stock thinking I'll love it and it will be special. Nah, it just ends up in storage somewhere.

More to do with purchases on online marketplaces - I would be weary of buying anything from a marketplace other than eBay. Most of these companies rely on automated AI support, in which they can't fix situations that arise (buyer shipped the wrong item, a **** transaction, etc.)

I've been forced to issue bank chargebacks for a couple of items which have just caused more time and effort than I would ever want investing. eBay clearly has by and far the best support and the best seller and buyer protection.
