That leather really is something else. This jacket looks like a great everyday jacket, and the fit is excellent. Love the collar on that pattern especially.

This excitement and inner tension to open the box, not knowing how the jacket will fit and how the modifications turned out. Then there is the moment you open the box and the beautiful smell of CXL reaches your nose and you know it's only seconds away until you see the jacket for the first time. It sounds like poetry, but it is always something very special

I get that it is a reference to the holy grail, but shouldn't that just allude to the fact that something is hard to find?
In this case it isn't, since anyone can can order exactly the same jacket and have it delivered in a few weeks...
Or is it nowadays used to define something that cannot be bested in anyway?

I believe the term is used to denote ones “ultimate” jacket. The one that can’t be beat. I’ve come to realize that because of the “leather jacket addiction” there can’t be only 1 jacket, but there can be a favorite.

Off course there is not "the one jacket" since taste varies with time. Looking at my other jackets, there is this very small detail that annoys me a little bit, e.g. arm length 0.5 inches too long, jacket bottom a little too wide, insight pocket ordered with the "wrong" closure mechanism. It is nothing very relevant and also part of the beauty of the jackets, but you tell yourself "next time I would do it differently" or "I will look closer on a certain detail" to make the jacket suited even better to my personal liking.

Also, I did not want to start another "Premier HWY Perfection" thread and came up with the title at 1am yesterday night, not putting too much thought into the title. However, I think it is a little bit like searching for the holy grail, but it is your personal grail (at least for some time).

Yes, you can order the exact same jacket, but since everybody is build slightly different the fit will never be the exact same on everyone. Plus there is some variation due to the product being made from leather, the fact that it is hand made etc. For me it was kind of hard to find (out) what works best for me, what I like and how things suite my body type. As I said before, for me it's the first time I really love every detail of the jacket and thus finding a "grail"

Man! The devil is in the details on this one. Love the angled chestpocket and the hooks on the bottom. Tiny details that make quite a statement. The fit looks great to my eyes. Living in a diverse climate I need some extra room for layering and I also prefer the look when a jacket isn't overly tight. This comes close to perfect for me.

How heavy is the leather (in oz) and how heavy is the jacket? Do you have a way to weigh it? Serious question - I love this leather so much I may order the same jacket, but def don't want to be worn by a too-heavy jacket, lol.

The premier hwm is becoming a really popular jacket as of late, I don’t recall having seen so many in such a short period of time.

Interesting batch of CXL in pictures it looks almost battered seal HH... very nice!

Design wise I personally prefer the more curved yoke and the loop chain with ball chest zipper pull which give the jacket that more vintage/retro look but I appreciate that for a more contemporary style one might want to go with something similar to your choices.

Good grief, that's insane!!!! Love it and amazing work there with the subtle, but tasteful modifications too. I suspect that leather will get really popular after seeing this thread. Nice job with the photography there too, the vintage door really amkes the jacket pop!

The jacket is relatively heavy since I asked for a “more substantial” hide. It weighs 6.6 pound, which is more than my Boardracer made from black CXL FQHH. The fit jacket was made from Vicenza which was way too light for my taste.

Looking at these photos above I almost smell that incredible fantastic highly adorable sweet odor of new CXL Horween. Oh man, what a leather! What a beauty! It does fit you well mate, congrats! Well done!

Looks great! IMO it looks looser in the chest than I would prefer for myself, but really it looks fantastic and obviously this makes it better for layering. Very nice.

Good eye dude... of course it's a very nice jacket... for a PHWMN maybe a bit to wide cutted in chest/back section more than a standard one... but the main thing, however, is if the owner is satisfied with it.

Normally I wear a 46, this jacket is a 44. On the pictures i only wear a thin t-shirt and the leather is still very stiff. I see what you are referring too. There is some bunching etc going on. However, I’m convinced that this will go away as soon as the seams and leather soften up a bit.

It very well might. I was not trying to be overly critical. I still think it looks really nice! I also made sure to point out that it was my own preference. It's still an amazing fit and a great jacket You should be thrilled with it!

That's great! I think almost any jacket looks better broken in anyway. I can't think of a single jacket I have owned that has gotten worse after break in.
