Aero Highwayman Alternative

I'm tall, thin and muscular with long arms and wide shoulders. I very recently bought a highwayman from ebay and subsequently put it right back up for sale in the classifieds. I want the single rider style, need extra long arms and length but closer in the body. The premier I'm told may be too small in the arms for me. I had a custom Aero Cafe made, 44" chest but added 2" in the body but the sleeves were ok.

44 in the highwayman was much different, which I knew and planned to use as a winter layering jacket but the dimensions were a little too off. Too large in the waist and abdomen and a little short in the arms.

I'm just curious as to whether there may be another brand of similar style that may run a little more slim and long. If I have to I'll go the custom route again but would like to avoid it.

Off the rack, Eastman Leather Ostman jacket is broad shouldered, slim at the waist and is a somewhat similar style. One of my favourite jackets and I have owned about everything on the market at one point or another.

If you want to go custom, go to Johnson Leather SF, they can do any style in any leather.

I just went through their site, The Highway Star looks great. They also come in tall which is cool. Thank you for the suggestion!

If you get a Highway Star - please do a thorough review with fit photos. I have quietly wanted one of those since they came out in ~ 2019, but with no US stockiest for that model and a lot of contention about fit details, I have not tried that $1500+ jacket yet. Here is the thread on FL where that model has been discussed. https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/new-elmc-jacket-highway-star®️-horsehide.97637/

I am not aware that any regulars actually own one at this time?

Aero - wise, the Premier Highwayman, or a Sheene might work pretty well for you if you could get the fit nailed in on it.

You say you're slim and have long arms. I am too, and the Premier Highwayman fits me perfectly.
Ok that’s good to know, my arms are long but they’re pretty big, not 24” pythons or anything but I want to make sure I can bend them.

Hmm… then it might be a bit tight. I have fairly slim arms with a circumference of 37 cm, and a size 44 fits me just right. The outer circumference of the sleeves on both of my PHWM jackets is about 41 cm. That said, I think the critical measurement is the elbow, since that’s where the sleeve bends.

You might consider the Lost Worlds Suburban. Stuart can make a 44 Long. If you give him your measurements he will adjust to fit. Note: I usually send him an email then follow up with a call. I have never been dissapointed with his work.
