Sounds like his 1947 Capitol recording. Some of his later recordings were accompanied by Carmen Dragon and his Orchestra. Carmen Dragon was also the father of Darrell Dragon of Captain and Tenille fame.

It very well may be.

It is a better quality recording than what is purported to be an original. The moral is be careful what you ask for because you just may get it....

You edited/added to your statement after I quoted and answered.....(wow that was awkward) I did not realize Carmen was associated with Al Jolson. That is interesting. His orchestration here and his other works have a range that gives the impression that he has many more instruments that what is actually there.

Coleman Hawkins recorded with the Mound City Blue Blowers, an all-star group led by Red McKenzie who played a comb with tissue paper, achieving an effect similar to a kazoo. "Hello Lola" 1929 (which has one of Glen Miller`s finest trombone solos) is amazing!!!!!!! :eusa_clap ... hope you all like it!!!!

I think everything has already been posted before. It's very easy to go through your entire playlist quickly. 'I'm In The Seventh Heaven was one of the last recordings Jolson did for the Brunswick label. This one, which I think is from the same recording session, is IMO one of Jolson's best recordings. I know it's one of my favorites.

Correction: After a three year hiatus Jolson's last Brunswick was this one recorded in 1932.
