Thanks to everyone that's contributed to this thread. I love it! As a result of this thread I have been able to delve deeper into the music of said era. In particular I have had a chance to listen to King Oliver and Jean Goldkette, two greats that I was previously not familiar with other than by name.

Dan'l, I didn't even know King Olivers Name since I got myself a Louis Armstrong retrospective. There I found some pieces from King Olivers Creole Jazz Band, where Armstrong participated - and I was lost. In my opinion the King is one of the greatest musicians the world has ever seen.
