After doubting going for a vintage manual watch, I thought it would be better to go for a vintage looking modern quartz watch to test the water. As its cheap and reliable

I went with the lip T18, it's a reissue of the watch gifted to Churchill after the Second World War by the French government.

I really love the art deco style and that it is on the smaller side (as per the 30's/40's proportions), as I have a very small wrist. I for some reason loathe the watches that look like you strapped a wall clock to your wrist.

Overall really happy with it!

The Lip T18 looks like a great choice for a first watch. I like how vintage watches combine classic design with a sense of history. Just as a neo halloween costume can stand out with a unique style, a classic timepiece adds personality to any look. Hope you enjoy wearing it and keep it as a memorable part of your collection.
