Simply use a water based face cream. I never understood the alcohol sting unless it was to close off pores to stop bleeding. Moisturizer works just as well.

I'm the same with medication - if it ain't unpleasant to take, it can't possibly work.

@Edward

I looked for you. Our most popular german vintage herbal aftershave without perfume-oil "Tüff sensitive, 100ml", is available on UK-Amazon.

Ingr.:
Aqua - Alc. denat. - Propylene glycol - Urea - Panthenol - Glyzerin - Calendula officinalis flower extract - Equisteum arvense extract - Chamomilla recrutita flower extract - Isatis tinctoria leaf extract - Hamamelis virginiana leaf extract - Citric acid - Menthol - Potassium sorbate - Sodium benzoate - Lactid acid

Recipe and quality didn't change in the last ten years.

Thanks, I'll check that out! :)

I am always disappointed with "modern" fragrances
here are my two classics
Cacharel pour Homme - it's my favourite, ... but you need to like nutmeg ;-)
Dior - Eau Sauvage

Old school : 20 years ago I used to be a fan of Yardley English Lavender, I wonder if it's still the same quality now.

All reformulated. Classic old perfume-world is dead.

So sad, that Dior killed Eau Sauvage with the final reformulation in late 2010, cancelling most of the oakmoss. :(

Tom Ford is my go to, but Gentleman by Guerlain is a really classy cologne.
Gentleman is one I don't have.
Mouchoir De Monsieur, Jicky, Heritage, Habit Rouge, and Coriolan are the only Guerlain scents currently in my collection.
Tom Ford Tuscan Leather is also one of my favorites.
And I love Bay Rum!
I used to be pretty active on Basenotes, Fragrantica, Badger & Blade (until I went rogue and grew a beard), and a few other similar forums...

Edit: Just went through my old Photobucket Account and found this...

Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, today.

I just love the real stuff from a nearly forgotten era. And with this fragrance, you know again, why Sir Irisch Moos is so (internet) overrated. :D

Caron Pour Un Homme = premium
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme = fine middle-class :)
Sir Irisch Moos = basic (not cheap quality)

In my opinion...
