I stumbled upon this green cafe racer in a random leather shop in Nashville, IN last spring, while on vacation. It shone like an emerald in a sea of black leather. It was, in fact, the only non-black jacket in the store. It was also on clearance, as it had apparently long-awaited a soul brave enough to embrace its whimsical hue.
It's made by First MFG, whom I hadn't heard of prior to this discovery. While the leather is a bit thinner than my usual preference and it doesn't have that $1,500 handmade veg-tanned artifact feel to it, the color is fantastic and it's buttery soft. I am particularly impressed by the large panels of leather, especially for the $150 price tag. YKK zips are solid and reliable. It's a functional riding jacket with zippered vents, a removable quilted lining and armor pockets. The fit is a bit roomy around the bottom hem, but for the price, it was a great find.

This leather looks almost identical to my four speed leather jacket. Wonder if it’s the same leather.I stumbled upon this green cafe racer in a random leather shop in Nashville, IN last spring, while on vacation. It shone like an emerald in a sea of black leather. It does look the same! A very unique shade of green. I’ve since moved mine along to a new home because it didn’t fit well, but I wish I still had that green in my rotation. This leather looks almost identical to my four speed leather jacket. Wonder if it’s the same leather. View attachment 806127
