Surfing the internet, stumbled across some very cool looking Italian leather outfits, D'Arienzo and Shangri-la heritage.

D'Arienzo seems very much a "fashion" brand. A little over 300 euros for a Chiodo moto jacket in paper thin lamb leather. Probably rip after a few months. Have to be like the Fonz: hey, hands off the leather, no touching. Still, the price seems incredible for a fashion jacket, too good to be true. They say it's 100% made in Italy. What do you think, are they for real?

Shangri-la heritage seems like real moto jackets. They have a chiodo horsehide moto for 1,250 euros. Also supposed to be made in Italy. Are they really good?

I can't speak for D'Arienzo, but Shangri-La heritage is great IMHO. In fact, I prefer my black Varenne steerhide to my black Lost Worlds hh.
For someone like me who dislikes repro cuts and 1:1 vintage cuts but loves great leathers, SLH nails it.

Did you order direct from Shangri-la? How long did it take to get the jacket? Looks like they make them to order. A lot of their jackets look great.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy D'Arienzo. I've seen them advertised on Amazon.it and they seem quite commercial/cheap, compared to true artisanal works. M&B is a distributor that can have good products, made by artisans who take care to use quality materials and meticulous workmanship. But I'm not sure where to direct you online. I'd recommend doing a little more research first.

I have purchased one D'Arienzo jacket and 5 Shangri La heritage jackets. D'Arienzo is a cool jacket for someone who is not so much into leather and just want a slim, modern fitting jacket made in Italy. Their lambskin is spongy, dense and not that paper thin stuff. But of course it does not compare with Shangri La, it's a completely different level. Shangri La is really well made, great fitting, classic and stylish jackets, top notch leather that breaks in and ages well
