In their website they say that they are made at their original factory in Wollaston. Guess which brand is manufactured there!
Btw, I don't remember my early 90's pair to be made of this leather, mine was dyed through black. Let us know how this develops, seems interesting.
Yes, it’s not their signature super shiny leather but something they call „Quilon“ leather. I won’t repeat how they market it, as it’s not telling at all.
They use leather with undyed edges for all their MIE boots to visually set the, apart from the Indo made line. Of course, with the classic boots this is only visible at the shaft.
I will see how it goes with them. They do fit well (always a gamble with loafers) and feel good, so right now I a, pretty pleased.
