I just landed 4 jackets --3 motorcycle jackets

A Lesco in great shape---$100
A Walter Dyer for $65--that one needs some black leather color work
A Natel for $86
and a Flight Suits Ltd. A2 for $65 ish

Done for a bit (not)
I did learn that I'm really not a 42 anymore (just with a T-shirt) and I'm into the 44 / 46 word for wearing layers.

For slow riding on the Bonneville (2001 with carbs) the Natel is thick, the Lesco--I got brass zippers is happily very thick. I have a padded proper riding jacket for when I'm going over 35 and out on the highway.

You know I noticed in some recent time your Green Bonneville====my 2001 still has the original red and silver--I actually hate those colors but most folks think it looks good. More important the paint on this 2001 is much like these jackets we revere. I don't generally cover the bike--truth---so it gets rained on, last winter it got snowed on----bit of once a season once over on the chrome, bit of touch up paint (those paint pens from autozone) and it's good to go.
I've been considering green, orange or yellow for my tank and fenders in the next season or two.

How is the leather on this? Also, how tall are you? I might snag it
Leather thickness is comparable to goat that I have, so thinner than say CXL HH or SH (that hasn't been skivved). Sort of a spongy feel. Decent heft, clocks in at around four pounds. Incredible drape. Deerskin to me sort of has a luxurious feeling, but that's completely subjective. Besides this coat I also have three deerskin vests, two traditional leather and one roughout. So yeah, I'm definitely a fan of deerskin.

I'm 5'9" (175cm).

Because I clicked on the link and have looked at the listing, the seller sent me an offer yesterday for $85.

I got the same offer. I might grab it for $85 if I can figure out how to wear it. Does it work with denim and chinos?

I rebuilt my wardrobe over the past few years and went down the selvedge denim rabbit hole. I went a little crazy importing stuff from Japan before the $800 de minimis was eliminated. I've worn that coat with denim, duck canvas, and twill, the latter being ONI 777-BRD. I guess those would be closest to chinos. The denim pants in that particular picture are Studio D'Artisan D1830 Kakishibu Denim Hickory.

I do have a few pairs of Banana Republic chinos that I still have from before my wardrobe evolution, but those don't get too much wear anymore. Mostly family or "dad" functions. (I've been passively looking for other options like Casatlantic.) This particular coat pattern I think would work for either denim or chinos, but my sense of style is probably a bit atypical.
