Looks much better with wider pants and back cinched up a bit. Big pockets on jacket + big pockets on cargo pants = GLORY.

How does this Aero Teamster/Maxwell Hybrid look? Shoulder too big? And collar up or down?

Managed to try on bith 2026 versions of the Buzz Rickson William Gibson (black) MA-1 both in the full cut Albert Turner Model and the slimmed-down modern Version. Not the "long" Model tho, because who even wants that ;)
While researching, I realized that there are little direct comparisons on the same body so heres a very quick side by side. Going by the size Charts on their official site (which are very accurate I can confirm), the sizing difference between both models stays consistent across All colors.

First 3 pics are the Albert Turner Version, after that it's the slender Version. In wearing my thickest sweater underneath so even the slender isnt "slim" lol.
Im 6'7 with relatively long arms and both jackets are size 46/3XL

(I personally prefer the slender Version and that's the one ill keep)

Recently got this Irvin Foster 1950s/1960s “G1” jacket without front pockets. Paid a pretty penny for this but am so glad I did.. the quality and patina of this thing is unreal and it has a beautiful red core that’s exposed in the light. You truly cannot recreate this with any modern reproduction in my opinion.

What do y’all think? Keeper?

HI All,

New to Fedora Lounge, so thanks for having me. I just got this Schott 642HH in Medium, and I am curious about the fit check. I feel a little pressure in the arm hole at the bicep, and it's even tighter with a light sweater underneath. I'm tempted to exchange for a Large, just worry the shoulder fit would take a hit.

Thoughts?

Thank you!

If it feels too tight, even a little tight, it is too tight. Exchange for the next larger size.

Would not want anything too tight, whether at the armhole or otherwise. Would size so that its all comfortable. A bit more room in the shoulders would not hurt either.

What country did you get the 642HH? The American 642HH has side clinchers. You probably have the Japanese version which come with small arm hole openings. Sizing up would help in the armhole but will be too big in the torso.

Hi All,

New here. I just got a Schott 642hh in medium. I'm 6'2", 175, size 40 in suit. This is my first real heritage leather jacket, and I am curious on the fit. With a thin sweater and liner removed, it's snug but I'm mobile. Liner vest in, anything thicker, it really binds in the armholes. T-shirt fits well.

Just curious on the overall fit here, as this is my first proverbial rodeo with a heritage cafe racer. It's a great shoulder fit, so I am reticent to trade up to a large.

Thanks!

Just got this Flat Head Delraiser jacket in size 40, I'm 5'8'' 150lbs with a ~38 inch chest. Personally I'm really satisfied with the fit and comfort compared to my other jackets, action backs are great and the shinki horsehide on this is a lot softer and more pliable than what I'm used to. I can zip it up even with a sweater or hoodie but would prefer not to. Also kind of expected the sleeves to extend past my wrists like size 40 and up jackets usually do, glad they don't.

I actually ordered this before seeing the Self Edge 20th anniversary Delraiser jacket drop but an extra $350 is kind of steep and I prefer the hardware on this anyway. It's interesting how the 20th anniversary version has an extra 1.5 inches of chest ease though.

I'm wearing an Aero Leather Half Belt Deluxe in the 1950s pattern in the picture. It's made from heavy Horween leather, and I find it extremely comfortable. Overall, I'm very happy with the jacket and would like to have another one made.

My current jacket is a size 42.

My measurements, taken over a heavy sweatshirt, are:

- Chest: 41.9 inches
- Belly: 43.7 inches

I want the new jacket to be suitable for three-season wear (spring, summer and autumn), so I definitely want enough room to wear a thick sweatshirt underneath.

Aero has recommended sticking with size 42 but making the shoulders one inch narrower. I would otherwise keep the measurements and specifications the same, but go for a standard Half Belt rather than the Deluxe.

I feel that the 1950s pattern might also suit me better because of my belly measurement.

What do you think? Would you stick with size 42 and simply narrow the shoulders by one inch, or would you consider going down to size 40?
