Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition

if this discussion was about my post, I was referring to the langlitz posted here for many thousands of dollars on ebay. The seller is not (to my knowledge) a lounger, nor (again, to my knowledge) is the jacket listed in the classifieds here.

I was questioning whether that ebay listing is a find or a deal, because given the price you could actually get two new ones directly from langlitz

The old ebay adage, are they asking that, or getting that price

I've been known in the past to buy ' potential ' jackets especially from Yahoo Japan and put the work in restoring them up, original replacement zippers, knits, restoring the leather, and either keep or sell on, I feel a higher asking price is justified in this case

Langlitz Deathhead Cascade, the vintage version of the current Cascade. When I ordered a brand new Langlitz (regular, not deathhead) Cascade in 2021, with all the options, it was $1,450 dollars plus taxes.

One deathhead Cascade actually sold in Japan Mercari 12 days ago, sold for ¥160,000, so about $1,000 dollars. Fair price for like new jacket that's immediate delivery imo. With the 10% coupon it can be just under a grand shipped. If it were different size I'd probably bought it haha.

buyee is probably the easiest one. I use FromJapan because they give me deals on shipping every now and then. There are others (proxies) too. But Buyee is the easiest one, I also use it sometimes when they have a good deal (coupon).

A nifty and cheap Robert Hall here on Ebay:

RARE Vintage ROBERT Hall AMERICAN Classic 1960's BROWN Leather JACKET Size M | eBay

It is well over 50 years old and in fairly Nice condition for its age~! The inside lining is intact thou needs a Good cleaning. Also, along the zipper towards the bottom, is a small portion of leather, about 2 1/2", that has worn away (see photo).
