Anna Nichole Smith

point is that the aggressive phrase "The Itiotensia" belongs here as much as does a discussion of passive aggression or the aggressive phrase "The Religidiotensia". Both phrases are designed to attack a specific group, and because one is more irritating to the more vocal groups here, i can imagine which one will be parsed first.

Most irritating to vocal groups are the Cigarettensia, who go right for the throat.

The discussion makes sense in regard to the discussion regarding standards in reference to Anna Nicole and in the scheme of the whole point of the Fedora Lounge---interest in the Golden Era. There is a reason why standards are not the same as they were in the Golden Era---the idiotensia.
They dumbed down standards and continue to do so to the point that the manners, style and decorum of the golden era are tarnished every time one of them even comes near it. They are indeed idiots and it has nothing to do with religion. :eusa_doh: :kick:
Passive agressive is another term created by the above group to limit speech and discussion. That is not going to happen here. Terms invented after 1960 by hippies not allowed.:p

...holy freaking crap.

Should I say anything? This is ridiculous. If you want to debate morals, find a forum dedicated to philosophy and do it there! That's the beauty of the internet, there are sites dedicated to just about anything you can think of. This one is dedicated to the history and culture of the '30s to the '50s. It's an escape, treat it as such. I've seen this happen on so many sites, and it doesn't help at all. Slapping someone else with a stereotype - whether they deserve it or not - and calling them an idiot for it is NOT conducive to rational debate.

Agree to disagree. Nobody's going to redefine their own principles because someone on the internet finds them offensive or opressive. If any of us compromise our principles to please others, what sort of person does that make us?

Oh are you gonna love this, james

"The term passive-aggressive behavior was coined by military psychiatrists in a 1945 US War Department technical bulletin to describe soldiers who employed a mixture of passive resistance and grumbling compliance."

source: MedicineNet.com

Let me just repeat the date in case you missed it – 1945.

lol lol lol lol lol

That phrase has morphed quite a bit since 1945. It doesn't mean the same thing anymore nor does it refer to the same group it originally was intended to describe.
It does make sense that the government would adopt such a wording though. Makes sense to me---kind of a schizophrenic word. lol lol lol lol
