I'd also add that those are some low-rise jeans...
It might sound odd, but try it on without those jeans to see where it fits your body (no need to show us). The rise of your jeans might change over the lifetime of the jacket. The jacket should fit you, not your pants.

That's what i wanted to say too, but i feel like an old man telling people to raise their jeans...
IMO if your jeans had 1" extra in rise the bottom of the zip would reach the top of your belt, which is IMO exactly where you want the zipper to finish.
Making the jacket longer doesn't really achieve the same thing... I agree that the jacket looks short with these jeans, but it looks perfect on your body.

If you add length in the body all you are going to achieve is more crumpling in the back, and the jacket will cover the top of your pockets, which i find annoying.
I wouldn't add to the sleeves, they are perfect as they are and they don't shorten unless they are too long in the first place.

I agree. I walk with hand in from pockets quite a bit. If the jacket interferes with putting hands in pockets i dont like that

Man, that is a great fit. I just went through purchasing a board racer and ended up keeping the fit jacket. Mine is about an inch longer than yours covering just the edge of the front and back pockets. How tall are you? The jacket seems perfectly proportioned to your height. There is no guarantee that you will get 0.5" added to that length. Sleeve lengths and the shoulder all have slight (0.5") allowance, so if I were you, I'd keep it, but, if it's going to bother you, get it right the first time. I love Vicenza and it's really a perfect weight for the CA weather. Mine has light wool tartan, but I feel like the jacket breathes. Good luck.
I'm 5'9" and I agree I really want to keep the jacket! If the fit jacket is goatskin I know I'll definitely keep it.
I personally would extend the main zip a bit too.
I've thought about it, But I found a small gap on the bottom really helps when riding.

You're right, it's low-rise so it should be taken into consideration. I'll try some chinos and see if fit changes.

It's good to know the sleeves won't shorten much if they're not too long at first place. And yeah I probably should take my jeans rise into consideration too. Now I'm thinking maybe don't change anything fit wise...

I wouldn’t mess with the length of either the sleeves or the jacket itself. The rise of your jeans seems to be as low as it could be and still I think the jacket looks good.

This is about as good a fit as you’ll get, I’d keep it where it is. If you start adding lengths and changing things you may find other factors are affected such as zipper location or how the jacket lays through the back due to extending onto your hips. In my opinion it’s best to just accept this basically perfect fit for what it is; basically perfect.

Is the jacket 38? What are the current measurements? That’ll shed some light as to how it’s supposed to fit.

I don’t want to open a new topic...what do you think regarding body length?
From what I now the jackets shouldn’t fit like a blazer but is this too short?

Hi everyone! I just got a fit jacket from Thurston Bros yesterday. I think the stock size fits me quite well, but I'm not sure about the body length. Do you think maybe I should add 0.5" to the body length? The fit jacket is Vicenza, but I'll order goatskin.

Looks perfect fits just right. Did you break it in a bit or right out of the box?

The engineers and chinos look good too. It’s what I’d wear or some nice selvedge denim but I’m sure you’ve got those as well. Cheers!

don’t go goat skin. I have a 30s 1/2 belt in steer hide and it wore in beautifully

OP’s jacket was years ago. That said Aero’s goatskin is fantastic. Not sure why you’re discouraging it. IMO it’s the most luxurious hide they offer.

Just not a fan. I’ve had some and they’re fine but prefer steer hide or horse hide. Personal preference. Especially since I use them to ride my motorcycle.
