How should leather trucker jackets fit?

Fit looks fine to me. Even the midweight leather takes a bit to loosen up. There is a lot of stacked leather in the front. Once it breaks in it will feel fine. I've had a maverick for about 5 years and it is just now getting comfortable. Beware, the paint wears on the buttons fast.

This is absolutely how a type 3 leather or not should fit! Length any longer would be too long and it absolutely should taper at the waist. I have a couple 70’s era type 3 and they for similar to yours. Broad in the shoulder, massive taper and contour to a short waisted fit.
