One more thing, given a choice between buying a piece of real vintage, especially shoes, jeans, flight jackets, and workwear, and spending the same or a little bit more for a high quality reproduction (i.e. made in japan, shoes boots made in USA), I will choose the reproduction because I am much...
Lessons learned and observations from two decades of thrift store shopping:
1. When buying an old suit at thrift or vintage store, spread the waist band of the pants and look for light filtering in from moth holes. Especially important in poorly lit thrift stores. Also check lining on...
E-workers is great, quality second to none. I am lucky to be short and sleight, so their clothing fits me well, but if you have long arms, you might run into trouble. Just send them an email.
I am very impressed. Where did you get or how did you make the collar knits? I have been thinking about modifying a trashed old G1 with an A1 style collar. Would appreciate any help/info.

The sweater you want is normally called the "five button sweater" or "5 button sweater." They can be had in surplus stores and on ebay for about 20 bucks as they were still made until pretty recently. Be careful to get one that is wool and not acrylic. You might also look out for the USN...
