It's always been a terrible idea. Technomadness has its limits, as was demonstrated recently when some poor pedestrian was run over by a driverless car. We'd be so much better off if they put the billions into public transportation, especially in this country.
I think AVI LTHR in Denmark may be the new AS. I can let you know better in a few days when I receive my russet Bronco. Photos of the new russet just went up on their website yesterday and look pretty fine.
According to the Danish tracking system, the jacket arrived in this country last Thursday. What with those new photos of the russet Bronco, the waiting is getting unbearable. That goatskin looks good enough to eat.
I know the line you're talking about as I have one, a diagonal line running across the lower back panel, on my LHB. It's been there since the day it arrived and I was going to ask about it, but this was when we were just finding out about the American "Sales Rep" who was actually taking people's...
Wadr, your comments here are an attempt to pass off a personal preference for a general truth, as far as I can follow your argument. Perhaps one reason CXL HH is not in more general use today is because there are far fewer horses around than there used to be, which makes it more expensive. Also...
I wear a hat all the time and have found that the gray fedora looks fine with both black and brown. A really nice combo is an Akubra Bluegrass Green Campdraft with a brown jacket. The thing I used to wonder about is whether a straw hat (non-Panama) looks okay with a brown leather jacket. I asked...
I received an email about a week ago (Thursday) saying that the jacket had been shipped and that I'd receive another email with the tracking number. Then I got an email this past Wednesday saying that the jacket was shipped on Tuesday and gave me the tracking number. My guess is that the...
I have the LHB in CXL HH and it's perfect for the temps you mention. I think some people get the wrong idea of HH's stiffness because either they've never tried one on or because they only did so for a minute or so: the hide really softens up from your body heat after about ten minutes.
I'd love a pair of those as well. Maybe if a few of us emailed them about it, and then if Craig could put a word in the right ear next time he's down that way (?) it could happen. I'd be on board. I've been looking at the Loake Anglesey boots, but I've been thinking of the Jarrows, as my...
Oh, Man. I was just looking at the site and saw they have a Snake Plissken jacket on sale. In my size! For about $200! And I just paid for the AVI LTHR jacket. Ah, well, maybe it'll still be there in a few weeks.
That's the best, most natural- and comfortable-looking, I've ever seen an Irvin look. Usually, it seems as if the jacket is in the process of digesting the wearer. That looks great.
The jackets just came in the other day, so I guess they haven't had a chance to update the site. Morten asked me to simply send an email with the order stating my preference for the russet, which I did.
