Just a heads-up: I just noticed that the Himel Transcontinental Railroad coat is still selling on Orvis. They have XL and XXl, and they're now being offered at $639.00. Quite a deal for some of you big boys.
Sizing up a bit's a good idea, especially if, like me, you're basically a one-jacket guy. It extends the wear-time by at least a few months. When I got my LHB I went up just a tiny bit, which made it an ideal jacket for travel. Looks great on you.
Hi, Sheepdog. Gettin' a wee bit warm in these parts for those babies, ain't it? I'm already putting away my Heavy Americans and my Three Palms, and they're only half the weight of yours.
Really nice to see something a little different. I've never seen that jacket with the lapels closed and the collar buttoned before. Very cool and sort of sci-fi, like Farenhight 451 or something.

Hi, Terry, is that late 40's or early? Reason I ask is because for some reason lately I'm really liking those longer, pointy collars. That's probably the nicest jacket with a collar like that I've ever seen. Perfect fit on you, too.
I'm surprised that I haven't seen old Keef's name mentioned here (Keith Richards), as it was Keith who made such articles as bracelets, silk scarves, beaded necklaces, etc. okay for guys (including Mr. Depp). But Keith was emulating, in a somewhat more macho way, the great Brian Jones, founder...
I just saw that Allen Edmonds Factory Seconds have posted their Leeds Country Grain Derby shoe in brown for $197.00. All Sizes. I've been hoping for this for some time. Now - have I blown too much cash this month already?
