Personally, I don't think anything is selling well in the used market right now. I have sold on ebay since 2002 but items like leather jackets as well as other men's items like high end boots just are not going for the prices they should be selling for imo. Now if you are buying well that's a...
My wife runs a Thrift Shop for the Episcopal Church we attend and very few Leather Jackets pop up. We did have Schott G-1 come up which I sold for them on the bay. This was the only Leather jacket she has seen that was worth a great deal. But that's fine because people that really need clothing...
It looks like it fits perfectly in front and I may be wrong but I believe those courier jackets from WW1 probably were set up to be loose in the back for easier movement. I believe they were on motorcycles and that would give plenty of mobility.
Just a thought
Ok, I am going to make an adjustment on the price and drop it to $1300.00, if no interest then I will move on to the Bay.
Thanks for looking

I bought this awhile back. The previous owner removed the Jewels which I personally believe gives it a better look and they are not noticeable as the holes are so tiny. Too the damn jewels won't scratch the leather or vinyl on the back of your motorcycle seat. This jacket has been sort of a...
You know looking at the collar, you can probably work the shape a bit as you wear it even though it is deer skin and already malleable. I think you are making the right choice.
I would keep the jacket and save your money; oh for about a year. Then you can rationalize buying another because the one you kept is old and you need another one. You can rationalize it further by saying it's for business. Keep doing that over and over and over and over and pretty soon you...
I have owned this for a short while and decided to let it go. It's a bit large in the shoulders and I have another project in mind. The Jacket is probably about 10 years old. The leather is thick and in great shape with good patina and no issues. The Sheepskin collar is one of the nicest I have...
This is a straw Art made a number of years ago and it is unworn. It is a size 7 3/8 and could be perfect for Hot climates as it has a really nice weave in the crown for maximum air flow. It has a two hat ribbons an orange and a green one. The sweat band is leather.
Measurements: Crown 4.5" Brim...
I would add that the jacket I purchased was the first version over several years of the Orvis motorcycle jacket. The company may have changed the manufacturer as the later ones (like the one in the photo) had the lighter affect on the seams; mine was much darker. They may have sourced another...
Nuff said! Now back to simply leather. One of the first jackets I purchased on this damn near 20 year quest for the whatever perfect leather jacket was an Orvis motorcycle jacket along the line of an Aero Highwayman. It was made in China and the leather was thick and the lining was nice and...
Picked this Aero M422A up off the Bay last week. It's more of a "Beater" because the lining is showing some wear around the collar and will eventually have to be relined but the Sheepskin collar is awesome and the goat is super thick. Price was well below norm so I am going to wear the crap out...
That's Great! It sounds like Stuart made some compensation for the sheepskin in the sizing. I thought he might have when I read the measurements. I think you have found a toasty friend.
