I swear some of these Japanese brands are purposefully confusing lol but I guess it beats the “Japan Blue/Pure Blue Japan/Blue Blue Japan” silliness of the raw denim world.

It would be ideal if after an item is sold the seller would list to whom it was sold to as well.

In the event it comes back around as a “catch and release” it can be easily verified by last the sale thread.

Yeah, stuff should always at least be marked "SOLD", if anything not to waste anybody's time. I personally don't mind the idea of being ID'd as the buyer, but some others might? Not that anybody is using their real name on here, so privacy concerns should be minimal?

I own a Real McCoy's (older New Zealand-made model) G1, and a Toys McCoy Steve McQueen G1 (that's what it says, although I'm unsure McQueen wore a G1 in anything?)

They are both superb. The cuts, the leathers, the construction. I'd say the leather on the RMC is just slightly better than on the TMC. I'd say the stitchwork on the TMC is just slightly better than on the RMC. These are tiny, tiny differences though... Both are outstanding jackets.

I also own a (newer version) RMC J-100, and inspected a TMC J-100 that was done up by them as an homage to Peter Fonda's jacket in Easy Rider, complete with a movie-accurate pin. Both jackets were essentially perfect, cut and construction-wise. The RMC uses a smooth yet grainy leather, the TMC a more textured grainy leather... both were of equal quality, it came down to subjective appeal.
