This is an Eastman Windward with a New #8 YKK Zip installed by Johnson Leather replacing the #5 original by Eastman. The difference is amazing much easier and smoother than the original. The color of the jacket is Walnut Brown and the horsehide is Italian. The linining is thick quilted in the...
You will probably have to send it back to Stuart to have one fitted. If you don't mind the wait it would be a nice addition. My J-24 has one but must have been ordered when the original owner ordered it.
It actually works well with this style IMHO. I think color wise you would almost have to go...
I think it is the original zip with a lock pull on it. I remember something about the pull being mentioned by someone on here when it went up for sale. The jacket looks like a good fit HH.
Not today but over the years:
As a teenager on a visit to Beaufort, NC wearing a Highwayman, Medium Horsehide that Ken made for her around the year 2000.
Then three years ago as we boarded the USCG Stratton to give us a tour of the Cutter when we visited for Christmas. U.S. Made Harley jacket...
It's decent. I bought it on sale so that was a plus. It will make a nice summer weight jacket. If I were to order it direct I would go with tumbled black front quarter horse instead of vincenza. Also I know I am committing heresy but I would have a pocket bag sewn in that zipper in the back next...
While I am sure quite a few folks like the lighter weight buckles on Aero motorcycle jackets specifically their Indian, I did not like the heft of the Nickel coated brass buckle.
After wearing the jacket a few times I decided to do a quest for a vintage styled heavier Nickel coated brass buckle...
I prefer the Crown, I have it on 3 of my LW horsehide jackets. I have not had any issue with the other # 10 brass but I personally like the slide of the Crown zips. My hands just don't work with the smaller zips.
Really nice combination of a lighter leather with the melton wool! The lining is perfect. Great job designing this and Aero as always did great work. Glad to see you back on TFL. I am sending these photos over to my daughter to see as well.
Yep they did a decent job on the install of the zip. I prefer the larger zips even though the original jackets had smaller gauge zips the larger ones make it so much easier to slide in and frankly I think they work much better.
I picked up this Eastman Windward last year but shortly after it arrived the zip just gave up the ghost. Damn no matter what, I could not get the zip to stay together. So on December 3rd I contacted Damon at Johnson Leather and we decided to up the Zip grade to a #8 zip instead of a #5 for...
Thanks for all the comments, I think this jacket is Aero Leathers best MC jacket. Especially as it follows the period so closely. The vincenza leather is lighter than usual and will be very comfortable for riding down here in Tennessee on those days this winter that are in the 50's and low 60's...
I recently sold off some jackets and of course while checking out the Aero site saw this little beauty pop up on their Sale site in Size 44. It came in today and I am greatly pleased. Especially the handwarmer pockets. I have worn it about an hour and can tell it is going to be a keeper as it...
I bought this from John last year on his Sale site. I paid $775.00 for it and I have lightly worn the jacket about 5 or 6 times. This jacket is medium weight and very comfortable.
I am asking $675.00 since it had so little use.
