Spent a weekend at one of the state parks near there a couple of years ago, Beaver's Bend was full so we went a bit further north.
Does Lake Wistner sound right? Lake was very low that winter and we were in a cabin isolated by ourselves and all we could smell was smoke at night and was worried...
I have a large Saddleback leather wallet. At first I thought I had made a mistake, it was so large flat and stiff it would catch in my back pocket and it was an ordeal to get it out. After a few months the edges rounded over so it comes out much easier.
Honestly it's so large that things...
Pretty Fox. I love those doubles.
About 10 years ago I picked up a nice Parker GH, not mint, but extremely nice. I did nothing to detract from any collector value, just cleaned it very good, carefully removed the stock and cleaned and relubed the action works. Cleaned the wood, and steamed...
I have used Noodlers Baystate Blue in both new and vintage pens. It does tend to stain windows, like in my Montblanc 146 or many converters, but by using a weak ammonia solution it washes out readily. I have not had any problems with it damaging a pen.
My condolences to the Moore family as well.
I hope the Chief makes it home soon, but better to stay where he can be monitered if the physicians might suspect something.
I have used Parker jotters for probably 40 years, along with Cross and both are excellent. I like the larger capacity of the Parker refill and the way I work using a pen in and out of pocket constantly, the click mechanism is prefered. I have never had a Parker click pin fail.
Recently...
I think Parker has one of the Sonnet in an Ivory looking model. Montblanc has some scented inks.
Where is Norwich, RAF, presuming RAF as Royal Air Force.
I had the good fortune to be stationed at RAF Little Rissington back in 91 for Desert Storm. We had a USAF contingency hospital set up...
When I was in OTS we had to wear what was called shirt garters, they hooked to shirtails, and ran down outside of legs and hooked onto sock tops. Kept the shirt tucked in and socks pulled up. I rather liked them and at times wish I had some today.
I wore a pair of black alligator western boots as best man for my son's wedding over in Natchez, Miss a few years back. They acutally looked rather classy with a black tux. They were more rounded toe not sharp like cowboy and a bit sharper than a roper.
I and several other officers would wear black roper type boots. I never saw anyone with a true "cowboy boot" , but the plain toe, low heel black roper was legal and acceptable. I remember aiding the commanding general of the USAF Reserve one afternoon as he did not feel like sitting in a...
I have one of those Montblanc 147 Travelers in the same Bordeaux color, but today I am carrying a Pelikan 800 with a IB (italic bold) nib loaded with Diamine Merlot ink.
Glad to hear you will be going home Carl.
Take care, listen to your doctors, and make those lifestyle changes, not just for you but for Sandi, she sounds like a wonderful wife, and the other important people in your life.
I'm getting a bit older and have been doing some things since we just...
I have several, The TM10 has nylon mesh sides for the entire side area of the crown, and although you cannot see through the mesh, it does allow air flow
The LMT 3 or 5 airflow models, have a very open band of nylon mesh at the top rim of the crown and allows for excellent airflow and...
I was a pharmacy officer at Eglin AFB, FLa. back in the late 70's when the USAF was conducting trials for a new handgun. At that time the AF was using a 38 revolver as the service sidearm, a S&W 38 Combat Masterpiece.
I had some contact with some of the AP types (air police as we called...
