There are so many I like, Musgo Real #2 Oak Moss. Dominica, Oleaga, or Turtle Bay, bay rums( less clove than Pinaud), Tabac( a somewhat stronger Old Spice type) Proraso, Floid blue T&H Trafalgar and 1805 just to name a few.
As a former USAF Major myself, been out about 15years now, I would think just about any barber shop could do the job. During my active duty tour, back in the 70's decade and then later reserve duty in the 90's the O club barbers cut my hair the way I had always worn it, which was the way my...

I'm a bit late to this discussion. I have a few Ruger #1 rifles, two tropical models, a .375H&H and .458 Win Mag. The .375 tends to recoil so fast I found myself dodging a regular scope, so I installed a Leupold scout scope. It's a fixed 2.5 power scope and is perfect. It sits far enough...
GO over to badgerand blade.com and there is a wealth of information. That's where I learned the techniques.
As for loading the brush, I soak it in hot water for a couple of minutes, shake it out and then swirl it on top of the soap cake until you can see some soap in the bristles. If you...
I have one of the "little palm" bowls of Proraso you mentioned. I either load my brush from it and then make my lather in a bowl or directly on my face, using a brush. IMHO if you lather directly in the soap bowl you will waste soap.
We had almost 4" of rain this afternoon in a little less than 3 hours. I had to run out once and stuck on a big white wide brimmed Tilley. It was better than subjecting my nice straws to the downpour and my felts have been put away for the summer.
Now the .45ACP is my preferred round for carry, at least in cooler weather when a larger gun is easier to conceal, but I must take exception with it being the best sex crazed zombie stopper.
My 10mm auto packs a lot more more punch in the same 1911 platform but is not as easy to handle, and...
I was USAF, enlisted for very brief time, basic and two months hold for OTS, then officer for remainder of my time. We were required to wear t shirts under summer open collar uniforms, depending on commanders, crew neck or v neck. Some wanted t shirt collar to show, others did not. Go figure...
From your description you are wearing a white cotton t-shirt as a undershirt. Thats what I do because I agree about protecting the armpit of my dress or sport shirt. When I hear the term undershirt, I think of the old stule ribbed knit shirts with no sleeves, only narrow shoulder straps.
Ditch the Williams soap.
As mentioned in other posts, the Mama Bears soaps are very good, glycerin base soaps and a wide variety of scents.
Italian soaps, Proraso, soap or cream, for a menthol eucalyptus scent, very cooling and refreshing in the summer heat, or Cella with an almond scent...
For something classy and rather old school looking, take a peek at Saddleback leather

Exterior saddle leather, lined with pigskin.
I wonder also. We have a good hat shop about 50 miles from me that deals mostly in western hats.
Mike gets western straws in open crowns and says he shapes them the same way as felts.
I just looked back at Meyers site, and they list the Panama Open Road now with a black ribbon hatband. When I got mine a couple of months ago it came with a dark tan hatband which complements the overall color better than a black.
While the pith helmet and shorts would definetly be co for oler in the summer heat there, and I spent my time in that part of the world to know, I'll take the heavy kevlar helmet and digital cameos for field use in a hostile or semi hostile area. A thin layer of fabric between my skin and all...
Fifteen minutes at this point sounds good, I hope you are able to do it more than once a day. With the heat coming on it will get harder but stick in there, and if too uncomfortable to do longer periods/distances try multiple times throughout the day. It all helps
Those hats really look...
